In my article on Zarah Sultana’s proposal for a new party I inadvertently included a right sidebar from a template WordPress provided that suggested the author of the article was Ernest Hemingway. The post was accompanied by a picture of a dashing young Hemingway.

Apologies but this only happened because of my technical incompetence. I have now – through an arduous process of trial and error – deleted the offending sidebar block. Obviously Hemingway couldn’t have written the article – he is dead. But worse, I in no way meant to compare myself to the great US fiction writer.

I chose the template as I had recently read For Whom the Bell Tolls, a masterpiece about the Spanish Civil War. But it will take me time to navigate the various technical gizmos that WordPress now has, so please bear with me. I did not intend to mislead anyone regarding my identity and I certainly did not intend to masquerade myself as Hemingway.

Whoops!
